The Royal India Thailand Story

Royal India Thailand opened its doors to serve Indian food in Bangkok in the 1960s and was the first Indian Restaurant in Thailand.  If you desire Indian food in Bangkok, look no further.  With four locations in the area, we are just around the corner.

The Royal India Thailand story began in Phahurat, also known as Little India, serving authentic Northern Style Indian food and sweets to the local Indian community living here in Bangkok and lovers of the cuisine worldwide.
It has been our passion to hone our cooking and spicing methods to share an unforgettable experience with our guests, and provide a pure indulgence in a well-balanced and perfected style of Northern Indian cuisine. Our commitment to this has earned us several awards, such as ‘Thailand’s Best Restaurant’ award from 2002 through 2009 from Thailand Tatler Magazine.
Through the years, we have been able to share our story with thousands of locals and visitors looking for Indian food in Bangkok. Our authentic cuisine has been experienced and published by food critics, news media outlets, magazines, newspapers, travel & food bloggers/vloggers, and everyday travelers from all over the world.
Our continued success and desire to share the Royal India experience allowed us to expand our brand to Siam Paragon Mall, Bangkok, in 2005.
Now, our story continues to please our guests, our food remains consistent, and our doors are always open.  We invite you to come and sit with us and let your tastebuds enjoy our unique flavors of flawlessly crafted Indian cuisine,  come and help us to continue our story and begin yours.

Legendary Hospitality

In Sanskrit literature, the three famous words ‘Atithi Devo Bhavah’ or the guest is God, is an assertion of hospitality in India.
The saying prescribes a dynamic of the host-guest relationship, which embodies the traditional Indian Hindu-Buddhist philosophy of revering guests with the same respect as God.
Thus, at Royal India Thailand we are honored to share mealtimes with those looking for Indian food in Bangkok.
